Wording it covers
The claim reader flags phrases like these, wherever they appear in an ad:
- “you deserve”
- “best version of yourself”
- “invest in yourself”
- “self-care”
- “glow-up”
- “transformation”
- “treat yourself”
What would back it up
- Nothing can back it up; it isn’t that kind of sentence
- Read the ad again without these lines, and see what’s left
The question to ask
Setting the wording aside: what exactly is done, by whom, with what, and for how much?
Can it be checked?
Nothing would count as failing it. No answer could count against it, so asking about it tends to get the same sentence back. Ask about something you can check instead.
