Registered nurse (RN)

A nursing license. Whether an RN may inject, and on whose order, is set by the state.

What it is

An RN holds a registered nurse license from a state board of nursing.

Several state boards have addressed what nurses may do in aesthetic and IV treatments, including who must assess you and order the treatment first. Those rules are on the state pages.

What it doesn’t guarantee

  • Who assessed you and ordered the treatment; the RN license doesn’t answer that
  • Training in aesthetic treatments specifically
  • That the license is active

  2. Or search the state board of nursing. Your state page lists the boards we have on file.
  3. Ask who assessed you and who ordered the treatment, and look up that person’s license too.
