Who the supervising medical license holder is, and whether they’re on site. The name doesn’t say.
Wording it covers
The claim reader flags phrases like these, wherever they appear in an ad:
- “medical spa”
- “medspa”
- “med spa”
What would back it up
- The supervising clinician’s name and license
- What your state requires for supervision of this treatment
The question to ask
Who is the supervising medical license holder here, and are they on site during my appointment?
Can it be checked?
Could be measured. This is a real question with a real answer. Ask it, and ask for the answer in writing.
Credential. A statement about qualification. Ask for the license and the board that issued it.
