Who runs it, whether they’re licensed, whether they’re paid on what you buy, and whether you can leave with a written plan without paying.
Wording it covers
The claim reader flags phrases like these, wherever they appear in an ad:
- “free consultation”
- “complimentary consultation”
- “no-obligation consultation”
What would back it up
- Who runs the consultation, and their license
- Whether they earn commission on sales
- Whether you can take a written plan and quote home
The question to ask
Who runs the consultation, what’s their license, and can I leave with a written quote without paying anything?
Can it be checked?
Could be specific, and is not. It could be said specifically, and isn’t. Ask for the specific version.
Commercial. A term of the sale. Ask for it in writing before any money moves.
